WHAT: Family Friendly Trivia Night
WHEN: Saturday, June 13th, 7:30pm – 8:45pm (The ZOOM window will open at 7:15pm)
WHERE: In your home and online at ZOOM.us and KAHOOT.it
REGISTRATION: Upon receipt of payment, you will be registered to play!
HOW IT WORKS: Details regarding play will be sent to you via email on Friday, June 12th and are also listed below.
SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES: We will have prizes from local businesses for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Play to win.
RULES & GUIDELINES
- Make 50% of your screen Zoom, 50% your browser with kahoot.it open. You will answer questions on your individual browser window.
- You can use a secondary device if you prefer. Keep zoom on your computer and use your phone/ipad to play the game.
- The host will read the questions, you will click the color/shape of the correct answer on your browser for multiple choice, or type your answer in the blank.
- Each question is worth 1,000 points max, and points earned is determined by how quickly you answer correctly. Be sure to respond as soon as you know the answer. You also gain bonus points for getting consecutive answers correct.
- Capitalization doesn’t matter, but correct spelling does.
- There will be a scoreboard update after each question.
- No cheating – no looking up answers.
- Feel free to invite people within your home to play with you, but you are all playing as individuals. It will be child-friendly.
- Please mute your microphones once the game begins.
TO PLAY:
- Open www.kahoot.it in your browser or on your phone.
- Game Code: (this will be given out when we’re gathered on Zoom).
- Use your real name for the game (to help discern winners).
We will go over the format and any questions when we’re all together, but these are some helpful guidelines for the game. This may answer some questions in advance. Don’t worry about a thing, we promise you’ll get the hang of it, and there will be a little something for everyone.
